Welcome to Copy Agent! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Copy Agent application and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Hypothesis One, LLC. ("we," "us," or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Description of the Service

    Copy Agent is a software-as-a-service application that uses third-party APIs, including artificial intelligence (AI) and web scraping automation, to generate written content and associated images ("Generated Content") based on user-provided inputs such as topics, tones of voice, and style guidance ("Inputs").

  2. User Accounts

    To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

  3. Content and Ownership
    • Your Inputs: You retain all ownership rights to the Inputs you provide to the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and transmit your Inputs solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
    • Generated Content: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you full ownership rights to the specific text and images generated by the Service from your Inputs. You are free to use the Generated Content for any personal or commercial purpose.
  4. User Responsibilities & Disclaimers

    This is the most important section of our agreement.

    • You are solely responsible for the Generated Content. The Service uses complex AI models which can produce content that is inaccurate, biased, or contains errors. You must review all Generated Content for factual accuracy and appropriateness before use.
    • Uniqueness Not Guaranteed: Content generated by AI may not be unique. Other users may receive similar or identical content from the AI models based on similar Inputs.
    • No Infringement: You agree not to use the Service to create content that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, or infringes upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or other personal or proprietary rights. It is your responsibility to ensure your use of the Generated Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
    • Disclaimer: Hypothesis One, LLC. makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, or quality of the Generated Content.
  5. Prohibited Activities
    • Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
    • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise discover the source code of the Service.
    • Using any automated system, including "bots" or "scrapers," to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period.
    • Submitting Inputs that are hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
  6. Reliance on Third-Party Services

    The Service's functionality depends on various third-party APIs (e.g., AI model providers like OpenAI or Google, and web scraping services). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or any failures of these third-party services. An interruption in a third-party service may cause an interruption in our Service.

  7. Termination

    We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings, if available.

  8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
    • Disclaimer of Warranties: The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including but not limited to its reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
    • Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Hypothesis One, LLC., nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.
  9. Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

  10. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
